A website dedicated to the restoration of an Australian-built DAP Beaufort Mark VII Bomber.
This aircraft was handed over to the Royal Australian Air Force on 29 October 1942, who assigned it the serial number A9-141. It finished its service life on 26 April 1944, seeing active service defending Australia during this time.
With the dedication of a small group of volunteers and the financial support of our sponsors, A9-141 is currently being restored to flight. When completed (in 2011 - for the 90th Anniversary of the Royal Australian Air Force), it will be the only airworthy Beaufort anywhere in the world - of the (approximately) 1,800 built for the Royal Air Force and the Royal Australian Air Force.
